Priya Valipe, a fourth-year accelerated BS/MS student specializing in Chemical Engineering and Science, Technology & Public Policy, serves as a perfect example of how the RIT network functions as a bridge between cultures and opportunities.
Priya’s journey began at the main campus in New York, but her perspective shifted when she participated in the Fred Cuny Peace and Conflict Summer Program at RIT Kosovo. By exploring the Balkans and building professional connections in the region, she discovered the tangible impact of an RIT education in a global context.
Now, Priya has brought that momentum to Tirana. As the first RIT New York student to volunteer directly with AATT campus leaders, she is playing a pivotal role in the institution’s growth. Her work involves ensuring the “RIT spirit” is woven into the fabric of the Tirana campus, drafting the student handbook and helping establish a robust student government, and bridging the gap between the established traditions of the New York campus and the fresh energy of AATT.
