American Academy of Technology Tirana hosted the first event of the Women in STEAM series, and it was a meaningful start to an important conversation.

Together with our panelists, Sharon Mason – Director of iSchool at Rochester Institute of Technology, Donjeta Sahatçiu – Director of 42 Tirana, and Besarta Hoxha – Lead Engineer at Ritech, we explored careers in technology from academic, leadership, and technical perspectives.

We spoke about pathways into STEAM, the role of leadership and people skills in tech, and the realities of building a career in the field. Most importantly, we began building a space for honest conversation and future collaboration around women in technology in our region.
